Last week I focused on having a brief idea put in place however this week I wanted to do more research on how I would go about making the game. I knew I wanted to make a online game using Unity so firstly I need to know roughly what the game would look like. Taking over the key point from last week I knew the theme of the was going to be medieval times.
As I am not good with making artwork, I firstly decided to go on to Unity asset store and browse some assets that I can potentially use in my work. After some time, I found a 2D character pack by Fabricio https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/2d/characters/2d-fantasy-character-pack-demo-101030#description
Once I found the character pack the next objective was to find the environment, I intend on using. I was looking to make a top-down game, so it was a little hard for me to find something that suited my need by eventually I came across Pixel art pack which had a medieval look to it. https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/2d/environments/pixel-art-top-down-basic-187605#description
Once I had a visual Idea of what sprits I can use in the game I decided to draw what the game would look like on paper. From my drawing you can sort of gather what I am aiming to make. Starting from the top left you see a eye symbol this is part of the UI which will shows you if the Knight is spotting you. on the far right you can see a gold count this would show how much gold the character is holding. In the middle you can see a home point this will be where you deposit your gold and the game would end.
